Kirkwood Car Wash was honored to participate in a recent charity event for Youth Ablaze. Kirkwood Car Wash dedicated four wash bays to this organization for most Saturday, August 8th. Proceeds went to cover expenses to attend the Youth Ablaze Conference to be held in Uganda, East Africa.

Stuart J. Brady, owner of the Kirkwood Car Wash and resident of Kirkwood, is amazed at the continued progress and growth of the community even in these challenging times. “For the newer residents, it is hard to imagine what the downtown business district was like before Kirkwood Station, much less before the BP gas station and all the other enterprises that now prosper.”
Stuart acquired the abandoned wash in 1997 and was open for business early 1998.
One important figure in the success of the car wash has been Jerome Ford. A lifetime resident of Kirkwood, Jerome was the first person that Stuart met in Kirkwood! Ever since then, Jerome has been helping out at the wash — and also at Fire Station #18 — on a daily basis.
Kirkwood Car Wash was a pouring station again this year for the Kirkwood Wine Stroll on June 18th. The gathering in Bay #1 was even more successful than last year, the inaugural year of the Stroll.
